Lauren Varanelli AGNP-C

Lauren Varanelli, APRN, is a board-certified Adult-Gerontology Primary Care Nurse Practitioner who is passionate about building lasting relationships with patients and providing personalized, compassionate primary care. Since becoming board certified by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners in 2019, Lauren has been committed to helping patients optimize their health and well-being through preventive care, education, and collaborative decision-making.

Lauren earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Central Connecticut State University before completing her Master of Science in Nursing at the University of Connecticut. Her diverse clinical background includes caring for patients in inpatient acute care, outpatient medical oncology, and community-based primary care. These experiences have strengthened her ability to care for patients with a wide range of acute and chronic health conditions while recognizing the importance of treating each individual as a whole person.

Lauren believes that the best healthcare begins with listening. Her philosophy of primary care is centered on developing meaningful relationships with her patients, understanding their unique goals and challenges, and creating individualized care plans that support long-term health and well-being. She is passionate about empowering patients through education and helping them take an active role in their healthcare. Recognizing the strong connection between physical and mental health, Lauren strives to create a welcoming environment where patients feel heard, respected, and supported.

Her professional interests include lifestyle medicine, women’s health, and mental health. She enjoys partnering with patients to develop sustainable, realistic approaches to wellness that fit their lives and promote health at every stage.

Outside of the office, Lauren resides in Harwinton with her husband, their three young children, and their dog, Apollo. She enjoys maintaining an active lifestyle, spending time outdoors with her family, baking sourdough, and listening to true crime podcasts. She believes that finding balance and making time for the things that bring joy are important parts of living a healthy life.
